Few months after her marriage with Jason, Britney Spears announced that she was engaged to Kelvin Federline after about three months dating relationship. On September 18, Britney Spears married with Kelvin Federline in a surprise wedding ceremony at a residence in studio city, California. Britney Spears and Kelvin filed their legal papers on October 6 of the same year.
Just after her marriage with Kelvin, Britney Spears announced that she would be taking a break in her career to raise the family. Britney Spears gave birth to her first child, Sean Preston Federline, at Santa Monica, California almost one year after the marriage. Two days after the first birthday of Sean, Britney Spears gave birth to her second son, Jayden James Federline in Los Angeles. In November 2006, Britney Spears filed for divorce from Kelvin and went on to commence a long battle for the custody of children.

Britney Spears and her album “Oops!… I Did It Again”
Britney Spears and her debut album ‘Baby One More Time” generated huge amount of criticism and controversies. Britney Spears added the fire to fuel when she publicly stated that she intends to remain virgin until my marriage. During May 200, inspired by the success of her first album, Britney Spears released her second album titled “Oops!… I Did It Again”. It reached to number one in the debut week itself, selling a record number of units. When the album sold 10 million copies in USA, RIAA awarded the album a diamond certification. Despite the similarities in the content and the number of copies sold for both the albums, the second album received less criticism. Several top ranking magazines and critics gave her four stars out of five stars for the right blend of sentiment and dance-pop.
Soon after the release of “Oops!… I Did It Again”, it went to break couple of records like ‘most radio station additions in a single day’, ‘top ten hits in USA and Other countries’, among several others.
Sometimes later in the same year, Britney Spears launched her “Oops!… I Did It Again World Tour”. Britney Spears took halt at New York for 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
